Subscription and Refund Policy

The 1-month and 3-month plans start with an introductory price: you pay half the plan’s price for your first period, then the plan renews at its full price. The 12-month plan costs the same every year. Before you pay, you see what you pay today and that the plan renews automatically until you cancel.

The introductory price comes from a welcome code that is applied for you on the plans page. It lasts 10 minutes from the moment you see the prices; a timer on the page shows how long is left, and every new visit to the page starts it again. Once it has run out, the 1-month and 3-month plans cost their full price from the first payment (€36 and €78).

The struck-through amounts. Next to the 1-month and 3-month plans it is the plan’s full price, the amount the plan renews at. Next to the 12-month plan, €179.80 is a reference amount, twice the 12-month price; it is not a price the plan was sold at before.

The currency depends on the version of TalkBravely you buy from:

• Euros (€): the Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French and English versions.
• Polish złoty (zł): the Polish version.
• Brazilian reais (R$): the Brazilian version.

The price you see at checkout is the total you pay, with VAT included where VAT applies. Your bank may add its own fee for a payment in another currency or from abroad.

• Today: the price shown for your first month, 3 months or 12 months.
• On each renewal date: the plan’s renewal price, for the next period, charged to the card you paid with.

For example, on the 3-month plan you pay €39 today for your first 3 months. Three months later, the plan renews at €78, and again every 3 months, until you cancel. On the 12-month plan you pay €89.90 today and €89.90 every 12 months after that.

Your renewal date and amount are shown in your confirmation email and in your account. There is no joining fee and no minimum number of renewals.

We email you 3 days before every renewal. The email gives the date, the amount and a link to cancel.

If you live in France and have a 3 or 12-month plan, we also email you between three months and one month before each renewal, as French law requires. That email reminds you that you can choose not to renew.

If you close checkout without paying, we may show you one offer, once: the 12-month plan for €29.90 today with a second code, shown against €99.67 (−70%). The struck-through amount is a reference amount: the offer price before that 70% code.

After 12 months, the plan renews at €29.90, every 12 months, until you cancel. The offer is open for 10 minutes; a timer on the page shows how long is left.

Right after you buy a plan, we may show you a few extras. Each one is optional.

• You pay only when you tap the button that shows the price. Saying no costs nothing.
• It is charged to the card you just paid with, which you agreed to save at checkout. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment.
• Each extra is one payment. It never renews.

• Lifetime access replaces your plan and includes all six languages. Your plan stops renewing, and you keep access for as long as we run TalkBravely.
• The 12-month upgrade runs your plan for 12 months from the day you bought it. It then renews at the 12-month price, €89.90, every 12 months, until you cancel.
• All six languages, character calls and Unfreeze are part of your plan for as long as it runs.
• The PDFs are emailed to you and are yours to keep, for your own use.
• Each offer page shows a struck-through regular price, the reference amount we compare the offer with: for the 12-month upgrade, the 12-month plan’s reference price on the plans page; for the grammar and travel pack, its two PDFs at their regular price; for the other extras, the regular price we set for them. The saving shown is worked out from those two amounts.
• Each offer is shown once, for 10 minutes, with a timer on the page. When the timer runs out, the offer closes and the next one shows.

At checkout, you agree that Stripe, our payment provider, saves your card. We use it for two things only: your plan’s renewals, and one-time offers you choose with a tap. We never see or store your full card number.

To stop renewals, cancel your plan. To use a different card, email us and we will help you change it. Please never send card details by email.

You can cancel any time:

• In your account: open your plan, tap Cancel, then confirm. Two taps, no calls, no forms.
• By email: write to [email protected] from the address you bought with. We cancel it within one working day.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. There is no fee. We confirm by email, with the date your access ends.

If your email reached us before your renewal date and the renewal was charged anyway, we refund it in full.

If you live in France, you can cancel online from your account at any time, without writing or calling us (résiliation en trois clics). We confirm by email straight away.

Ask within 14 days of any payment and we refund it in full. That covers your first payment, every renewal and every one-time offer. You don’t need to give a reason.

To ask, email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or reply to your receipt, and tell us which payment. We send the refund within one working day, to the card you paid with. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 working days.

What happens next:

• A plan payment or a renewal: the plan ends and your access stops that day. Nothing renews.
• A one-time offer: that extra is removed, and you keep your plan.
• Lifetime access or the 12-month upgrade: your plan goes back to how it was before, with its earlier renewal date. Tell us if you want the plan cancelled too.

After 14 days, a payment is not refunded, except where the law gives you a right to a refund, for example if TalkBravely doesn’t work as we described. You can still cancel at any time to stop future renewals.

• In the EU: you have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Normally, if you start using a digital service within those 14 days, you can lose part of that right. With us you don’t: you get the full amount back within 14 days of any payment, even if you have used TalkBravely.
• In Brazil: the Consumer Defence Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor, article 49) gives you 7 days to change your mind about an online purchase. Our 14 days cover it in full.
• In France: you can cancel online in a few clicks, and on 3 and 12-month plans we remind you at least one month before each renewal, as described above.

Nothing in this policy limits the rights your country’s consumer law gives you.

If a renewal payment doesn’t go through, we email you and try again over the next few days. Until it goes through, your access pauses. We never add a fee. You can cancel at any time instead.

We never change the price of a period you have already paid for. If we change the price your plan renews at, we email you at least 30 days before the first renewal at the new price. You can cancel before it applies.
